Mostly Violet at 9mths with a side of poop!
Caden finally and mindfully made a poop on the potty this week. He seemed very confused by it for some reason. He needed to go BAD and was running around all worried saying 'Its coming out! Its coming out!' Finally he got his little naked bum on the potty and 48 hours worth of poop did indeed come out. While Mike and I did our own version of the 'potty dance,' singing, dancing and high fivin' like all the books tell you too as if the poop had scored a home run for the Mets, he watched us very confused. Going from us to the poop, us to the poop... and he wasn't smiling. He actually looked like he had lost his right arm or something. So I said 'Get in the car, we are going to get ourselves some train to celebrate' or something to that effect. And off we went to purchase Harvey. He wanted Whiff or Kevin but they were all out, however Whiff might have been a perfect choice given the situation.

Little Miss Violet thinks she is very clever, and she is. She has quickly developed a distaste for baby toys. Absolutely no interest. Lights and sounds? Couldn't care less. She likes trains and trucks and crayons and anything that came in a box with 3+ on it. At the library yesterday I tried to entertain her on my lap with some baby books and baby toys while Caden played with a group of rowdy pre-schoolers at the train table who were learning to share the hard way (about 6 pre-schoolers, about 5 trains). But she wasn't content with being 'little sister' she wanted to be 'big kid'. So next to the rowdy kids she stood, not understanding why she wasn't able to mess up the track and thus cause Caden to lose his rag like what is so often played out at home (those crafty librarians damn well glued it down, genius!)
But it is very adorable to see her so proud of herself in playing alongside the big kids. And it was nice today to see that Caden and Jackson accepted her as such and the three of them played with the matchbox cars and garage today for some time together without one of the boys saying 'Violet's messing up our game'.

Violets hair is coming in a lot as you can see from these pictures. I love it! Can't wait for a little alligator clip to stay in!
On Saturday I was surprised with a yummy chocolate cake at Grandma and Papa's house for my birthday. Then on my Birthday Daddy and Caden came home with this...
Those chunks are cookie dough sitting on coldstone creamery icecream cake, yummy!
'Do you want to get back here and do it kid?' asked the icing man!

Violet enjoyed snogging herself in the mirror for about ten minutes.
Sometimes eating can be tiring. Especially now I am fighting my naps!

Wherever I lay my head, that's my home
And speaking of heads...here is the hair I'm talking about. Bald patch? What bald patch? Long gone!
Caden is all about the stuffed animals lately. They go wherever he goes. Nothing like a 90 pound lion stuffed toy being chucked down the stairs first thing in the morning to start the mess off with a bang. Followed by enough small stuffed animals to fill a well...

Example of wherever Caden is, his shadow is never far behind him...
Who wants to bite those cheeks?
Caden just wandered in with the funny face he pulls when he sleep walks into our still lit room and he doesn't want to open his eyes but yet he can't find the bed...eyes closed, a sort of overbite with the chin stuck out and wagging and his arms outstretched!
That means its bedtime!

Violet is getting bigger every day and she looks so cute playing with the big boys with cars and such like!
Can't wait to see them again.
