Snowflakes
Watched my beautiful growing daughter pull her snow boots through the snow to the end of the driveway to catch her bus. Ten minutes early as always and so a ten minute wait, she’s a timely girl! Spreading out her hands and just enjoying the beautiful snow all by herself while I watched her from the porch. It was the kind of snow that is quiet and unassuming, big puffy flakes gently coming down. I couldn’t help myself so I pulled the hood up on my robe and spent ten minutes photographing snow in my pajamas, like you do! I’m sure the neighbors wonder sometimes. Dear Santa, I’d like a macro lens. I don’t think being called a snowflake is an insult. Snowflakes are beautiful, every one of them unique. Like my girl waiting for her bus ten minutes early. Like my boy getting up with only ten minutes to spare.
